What is tape and grommets on a shade cloth?
"Tape" on a shade cloth refers to the reinforced plastic edging. It is not tape in the traditional sense since it is not adhesive. It is simply stitched into the edging. This tape is available only in black, and is not typically sold on its own.
Grommets are simply circular round "holes" punched into the edging tape on a shade cloth. They are made of brass and are about 1" in diameter. The grommets are typically spaced in the corners of a shade cloth and then on 2' centers.
