How should I set up my irrigation system?
There are a lot of variables that go into sizing an irrigation system. It all will depend on the type of irrigation system and the water requirements of your plants. In general though, there are two types of irrigation systems: drip and misting.
Drip irrigation systems usually have stakes that are placed into the pot of a plant. Water is delivered directly to the root system of the plant.
Misting systems hang overhead and emit a gentle mist or sprinkle of water to your plants. This type of system is most effective for propagation, and can even be used in lieu of an evaporative cooling system for temperature control.
Attached are several files that oultine some of the basic practices for sizing an irrigation system.
