A 4greenhouses account gives you the opportunity to interact with other users and the content at 4greenhouses, making for a rich and dynamic user experience. Even if you have already registered, you should definitely take some time to browse the site and get familiar with the capabilities a 4greenhouses account grants you. - Profile. All registered users have, by default, a user profile created for them that enables them to share information about themselves with the rest of the community. Your hobbies, interests, and gardening habits can all be shared (or not) with other users. This information helps other users learn a little more about you so you can...
- Make friends. Registered users have the ability to "Friend" other users. All you have to do is navigate to any user page and click the "Add as Friend" link and a request will be sent to that user to approve. Their profile picture will then appear on your Profile Home page in the Friends Gallery.
- Comment and Rate. Being a registered user allows you to post comments on any piece of content, such as a blog post or forum topic. Additionally, you can rate content with up to 5 stars. The highest rated content appears throughout the site in "Highest Rated" boxes. Also, 4greenhouses keeps track of your voting tendencies and suggests friends on your Profile Home page based on your likes and dislikes.
- Write a Blog Post. Every user now has a personal journal or "blog" that they can post articles to. You can share advice, pictures, and video in your posts, so your imagination is really the only limitation. Other users can then read your posts, comment and/or rate them. The best and most popular ones will be featured on the frontpage and throughout 4greenhouses!
- Share Images. Every registered user has the ability to upload pictures they want other users to be able to see. It's a great way to show off your garden or greenhouse!
- Update Your Status. Every registered user has a "status" that they can change on their Profile Home page. Your friends automatically see on their profile pages when you update your status.
- Send Messages. Registered users can send any other use a personal message, simply by clicking the "Send a Message" link visible in several places throughout the site.
- Track Your Activity. When you or your friends comment and rate pieces of contact, this activity is tracked on your Profile page. That way you always know where the conversations are taking place.
- Suggest a Feature. 4greenhouses is being very actively developed. Registered users have direct line to the development team by clicking the "Request a Feature" link. Users can then vote on the features they would like to see, the most popular ones taking priority in our development.
- Invite a Friend. Send a quick email to some one you think might enjoy 4greenhouses simply by clicking on the "Invite a Friend" link.
